Studio Coverage

Coverage summarizes a script, points out the strengths and weaknesses, and tells the studio if it’s worth reading (and buying)… and it can be a make or break document. 

I’ve covered thousands of scripts for studios and producers, and that level of professional coverage is what I offer so that you can see what will be said about your script behind closed doors. This is a great place to start if you are looking for general feedback.

Professional Notes

This is where I read your script multiple times and then analyze, evaluate and break it down on every level. I begin with the big picture elements: structure, pacing, character arcs, tone — these are the foundation of your script and if they aren’t solid your script won’t be either. Then I compile page-by-page, line-by-line notes that cover everything down to would this character really say that and the typo you missed on page 47.‍

Story Session

Do you have that kernel of an idea that you know would make an awesome movie if only you could just crack it? Or are you stuck at your midpoint with no idea where to go next? I have been there and that’s why I offer Story Sessions where we meet up and I help get you over that hump by talking through what you have and brainstorming where to go next. 

This is a great option if you are just starting out or trying to decide if your idea is worth writing.

This can also be used to supplement other packages with more Zoom or Call time to discuss your script.

Cutting Pages

The most valuable real estate in Hollywood isn’t in Beverly Hills, it’s your page count. One page equals one minute of screen time, and if your page count is too high you are already at a disadvantage.

But cutting pages doesn’t mean cutting valuable scenes. After 17 years I know how to squeeze every last line out of every last page and turn 115 pages into 105 without losing anything.
