I entered the Film Industry in 2003 with an internship at Revolution Studios that quickly turned into a full time job as the assistant to the Director of Development, and I subsequently became the Creative Executive to the President of Davis Entertainment (the Producer responsible for the PREDATOR, GARFIELD, GRUMPY OLD MEN and DR. DOLITTLE franchises). In those roles I read and covered thousands of incoming scripts and gave notes on projects such as THE BENCHWARMERS, THE FOG, and ACROSS THE UNIVERSE, among others.

My screenwriting career began in 2007, and in 2010 I sold my first script (which was also honored with a spot on The Black List). I adapted the 2014 hit film THE MAZE RUNNER for 20th Century Fox, and since then I have written projects for Universal Pictures, Sony, Warner Bros, Lionsgate, and others, and I have worked closely with the producers and directors behind the TWILIGHT, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, JOHN WICK, THE EXPENDABLES, TRANSFORMERS, BRIDESMAIDS, 300, DUNGEONS & DRAGONS, V FOR VENDETTA…

I am still actively writing, most recently penning a feature adaptation of the beloved book series THE ANIMORPHS for the producer responsible for THE HUNGER GAMES, and collaborating with director Paul W.S. Anderson (EVENT HORIZON, ALIEN VS PREDATOR, RESIDENT EVIL) on a sci-fi disaster script based on a graphic novel from Dark Horse Comics.

But the most important thing about me is I love screenwriting. I love the process, I love the craft, I love story and structure and character arcs and courier font, and above all else…

I love working with fellow writers.

I love reading a scripts and giving notes, I love imparting all of the niche tips and tricks I’ve picked up in my 20+ years, and I love helping writers make their scripts the absolute best they can be so that they have a fighting chance in the Hollywood marketplace.
